Bruce Digby-Worsley served with the Middlesex Regiment before he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps. An observer with 88 Squadron, he was credited with sixteen victories in 1918. On 26 April 1919, 2nd Lieutenant Digby-Worsley relinquished his commission, on account of ill-health contracted on active service, and was permitted to retain his rank.
