Spinner
The hemispherical pot of spun sheet metal which was fixed to the air-screw of most German aeroplanes. It covered the center part of the screw and formed a continuation of the lines of the front of the fuselage which gave the aircraft a streamlined shape and a slight improvement in air speed.
