Kenneth Charles Mills joined the Royal Flying Corps in 1917 and was posted to 1 Squadron in 1918. An S.E.5a pilot, he became an ace in less than a month but was wounded in action on 7 May 1918 while scoring his fifth victory. After leading a low level bombing mission against a bridge, Mills was last seen dogfighting five Fokker D.VIIs. Evidence suggests he was shot down by Lothar von Richthofen of Jasta 11. |
