The son of George Lewis and Harriet Miriam Paget, Augustus Paget served with the 27th Territorial Reserve Battalion before he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in 1917. Flying the Sopwith Camel, he scored six victories before he was killed in action, shot down over Fontanafredda by anti-aircraft fire on 30 October 1918.
