Established: The Order of the White Eagle was founded on 23 January 1883 by Milan I Obrenovic. In 1903, it was reestablished by King Peter I Karadjordjevic.
Five Classes: 1st Class, 2nd Class, 3rd Class, 4th Class, Samaritan Cross
Criteria:
Knight's Cross of the Order of the White Eagle
Bestowed upon prominent foreigners as well as Serbian citizens, the Order of the White Eagle was awarded in recognition of distinguished civil or military service (with swords).
