The Albatros C.I entered service in April 1915. With its rear gun position, this aircraft set the standard for later German two-seaters. Reliable and easy to maintain, the Albatros C.I was built in large numbers and remained in service throughout the war. Even as it was withdrawn from combat and replaced by more modern designs, the Albatros C.I was still being ordered in substantial numbers for use as an advanced trainer. |
