Alessandro Resch trained on Voisins in the summer of 1916 and was wounded in action later that year. He was assigned to Squadriglia 70a on 12 December 1917 and scored 3 victories flying a night fighter on 17 April 1918. Before returning to the Air Force in 1935, he logged 500,000 miles as a civilian airline pilot. In the 1950s, Resch's son Arturo was a fighting pilot in the Italian Air Force and flew F-86Es with the Lancieri Neri aerobatic team.
