Also known as Sylvester Garsztka. He was wounded in action with 46 Squadron on 2 October 1918. He may have been downed by Donald MacLaren, James Leith and Cyril Sawyer. Garsztka remained in hospital until the end of the war. He was killed in a crash flying a captured SPAD VII. He was posthumously awarded the Virtuti Militari, fifth class.
