"Aviation pilot who voluntarily enlisted at 18 years of age. He distinguished himself in Army Corps aviation by his exceptional qualities of bravery and audacity. In pursuit aviation he has become a very brilliant pilot and formidable hunter. He took part in all the great battles of 1918, displaying untiring ardor during numerous combats and strafings. He reported his 6th and 7th victories on 9 and 29 October 1918. One wound. Four citations." Légion d'Honneur citation, 28 March 1919
