Charles Henry Chapman Woollven transferred to the Royal Flying Corps from the Devon Regiment. He received Royal Aero Club Aviator's Certificate 2636 on 31 March 1916 and joined 25 Squadron on 19 June 1916 at the age of 19. He became a Flight Commander during 1917.
