The son of Rev. William and Margaret Elizabeth (Jones) Hustings, Norman William Hustings joined 19 Squadron in the fall of 1917. Later that year, he scored his first victory flying the SPAD VII. The following year he scored six more victories flying the Sopwith Dolphin. Post-war, Hustings was killed in an automobile accident. He was 24 years old.
