Percy Douglas enlisted with the Liverpool Scottish Regiment and served on the Western front. After being wounded, he transferred to the Royal Flying Corps in August 1917. A Brisfit observer with 11 Squadron, he scored eight victories with his pilot, John Chick, in March 1918.
