The son of John Alfred and Emily Louisa (French) Candy, John Geoffrey
Sadler Candy was commissioned on 1 April 1918. He remained in the Royal Air Force when the war ended and was promoted to Squadron Leader on 12 December.1928. He retired on 12 September 1937 but was recalled to active service on 25 August 1939 and served until 26 January 1946.
