The son of William Junor, Kenneth William Junor attended St. Andrew's College and was in his third year at University College when he was appointed to the 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles in March 1915. In July he transferred to the 75th Battalion. He was sent overseas in March 1916 where he joined the 11th Machine Gun Company in England and was sent to France in July 1916. Stricken with trench fever on the Western Front, he recovered and was seconded to the Royal Flying Corps on 28 July 1917. In December 1917 he was posted to 56 Squadron. Flying the S.E.5a, Junor scored 8 victories before he was killed in action, shot down at Bray-sur-Somme by Egon Koepsch of Jasta 4. On the day he was killed, it was announce that Junor had been awarded the Military Cross.

Junor named his S.E.5a aeroplanes "Bubbly Kid" and "Bubbly Kid II."

      For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty in aerial fighting. He destroyed two enemy machines and drove down two others out of control, which crashed on landing. He always showed the greatest courage, skill and resource.
