The son of a doctor and a native of England, Harold Byrn Hudson's family emigrated to British Columbia in 1912. Joining the Royal Flying Corps in 1917, he became a Temporary

He was reassigned to 45 Squadron at the end of May 1918. After the war, Hudson returned to British Columbia where he worked in the pulp and papermill industries.
