The son of Alfred Drinkwater of Queenscliffe, Arthur Thomas Drinkwater joined the 7th F.C. Engineers in October 1915. He transferred to the Royal Flying Corps, received Royal Aero Club Aviator's Certificate 5502 on 20 June 1917, and scored nine victories by the end of the war. He was transferred to the unemployed list on 15 August 1919. |
